EXPERIENCE:MicroTools Inc., Simsbury, CT, Senior Systems Engineer, 2005 - Present Designed and developed a VB.net interface to two existing VB6 applications, an embedded Linux system and a web services interface. Led a team to analyze 100,000's of lines of C, VB, Pascal and assembler to determine infringement of a motion control patent. Developed the claim charts for this project. Provided deposition support. This project was settled successfully out of court for a lucrative settlement for our client. Modified an existing VB interface to an embedded Linux system. Designed and developed a motion controller for a robotic tube welder. Performed design review, code review and module test for commercial helicopter fuel control under EU (French) Aviation Authority. Involved C and ASM code for multiple PowerPC processors, Green Hills real-time operating system, AdaMULTI debugger scripting and LDRA Testbed for C and Assembler. Performed Design Review, Code Review and Module Test work for RTCA/DO-178B Level A software in C/C++ and Power PC. Included use of LDRA Testbed as well as customized environments, Green Hills AdaMULTI and Integrity RTOS, RCS and Telelogic DOORS. Wrote debugger scripts for AdaMULTI to simulate embedded hardware operation. Wrote MS-DOS and Perl scripts to automate various administrative tasks. Wrote Visual Basic scripts to interface MS Office products for various tasks including automating production of traceability matrices for DOORS. Wrote scripts using proprietary scripting language to debug time clocks.
